John Marshall

Accomplished writer, veteran journalist and award-winning reporter with experience working for The Associated Press, San Francisco's KGO Radio and The Houston Chronicle.

While woking for the AP, then later with KGO Radio, Marshall was directly involved in the biggest, most important and sometimes the oddest and quirkiest news stories in San Francisco and in Northern California.

His roles with The Associated Press included working as the Broadcast News Editor in San Francisco, then as a Breaking News Supervisor.

The broadcast items Marshall wrote were read over the air by broadcast reporters, while his bylined articles appeared in major newspapers and on news websites across the nation.

Marshall's bylined reports appeared in newspapers and news websites across the country.

Besides his work for AP, KGO Radio and the Chronicle -- the nation's third-largest newspaper by Sunday circulation -- Marshall has also written hundreds of freelance articles, including for SFBAY, an award-winning San Francisco-based website. Writing for the site he was recognized by The San Francisco Press Club with a 1st place breaking news award (broadband) for his coverage of the deadly Asiana Airlines crash at San Francisco International Airport.
