Four Sample Letters of Recommendation for a Teacher Aide
Letters of reference may be an inconvenience to write, but they show gratitude to a dedicated employee. Here are four examples of letters that will help you write one of your own. Be sure to include the following pieces of information:
- The name of the school where they worked.
- How long they worked there.
- Their responsibilities during their period of employment.
- Your phone number or e-mail in case there are further questions.
Sample Letter for a Kindergarten Teacher Aide
To Whom it May Concern:
I would like to recommend Hayley Dominguez as a teacher aide for your school or program. She worked as a teacher assistant at Mt. Greenridge Elementary School from August 2015 to May 2018. Ms. Domiguez served in my kindergarten classroom. She was a pleasure to work with.
During her three years at Mt. Greenridge, she went above and beyond her responsibilities. She was always efficient and helpful. She developed a wonderful rapport with her students. Students loved Ms. Dominguez because of her nurturing personality.
Teacher aides like Ms. Dominguez are a rarity. She handles stressful situations well, and never complains or criticizes. In the 2016-17 school year, she did an excellent job working with a child with autism. She has excellent organization and critical thinking skills. She will be an asset to your classroom.

Sample Letter for a Head Start Teacher Aide
Dear Sir or Madam:
I would like to recommend Holly Kincaide for future employment. I had the joy of working with her from January 2017-May 2019. She was employed as a teacher aide with the Green River Head Start Program. I was her supervisor from August 2017 to May 2019.
Ms. Kincaide was one of the best teacher aides I've ever worked with. She was dependable and diligent. She also went the extra mile for helping the students feel comfortable in the classroom. I could always count on her to calm down anxious or upset children.
One of Ms. Kincaide's talents is classroom decoration and organization. She always had creative and unique ideas for decorating for each season. Parents complimented our classroom decorations often.
Ms. Kincaide was very dependable and never tardy. She even stayed late on a few occasions. She took her job very seriously.
