Top Three Websites to Get Free Stuff

Getting packages in the mail is exciting and feels like Christmas. It's even better when those boxes contain complimentary full-size products. Today there are monthly subscription box services for just about everything you can imagine. There are numerous beauty boxes, fitness boxes, activity boxes for kids, even boxes for your pets. But as interesting and amazing as those are, sometimes it's just not in the budget.

Finding reputable websites for free stuff can be frustrating. Sometimes it can sound too good to be true, and there's always the worry of scams. In our age of technology, we have to be conscious of protecting our personal information. Before joining any site, I always search for reviews. I want to know if the site is reputable, if people have had success, the pros, the cons, and if it's worth my time.

The following are my favorite websites for scoring free products. I personally use all three. Below you can find a little information about what they are, how they work, and how to participate. All three are free to join and I've included a few photos of real products that I've been sent to test out. Please note this article is not sponsored. I truly enjoy being a member of these websites and want to share some information about them. The following is my honest opinion, the good and the bad.

Influenster

Influenster is a website and app, where you can discover new products, write and read honest reviews, and create personalized lists of your favorite products or wishlists. You can earn badges for your reviews, participate in campaigns, and test out products for free. Anyone can join.

I signed up for Influenster a few years ago after a friend sent me a request. I subsequently forgot about it until last year. I came across the website through a blog post and realized I had an account. I immediately connected my social media accounts, started writing reviews, asking and answering questions about products, and earned badges. Pretty soon, I was invited to participate in a Back-to-School contest and earned a spot in the Endless Summer Campaign. Influenster sent me a voxbox of goodies completely free. All I had to do was try out the products, post about them on social media, write reviews, and share my honest opinion.

Influenster and the companies who make the products want your honest feedback.

That is essentially all there is to it. I've been active on the website and app for a year now and I've taken part in three campaigns, where I've received a voxbox full of goodies to test out - Endless Summer, Darling Voxbox, and Oasis Voxbox.

I won a mega voxbox from simply participating in a Twitter party. Twitter parties are events hosted by Influenster to discuss a voxbox campaign. It is completely optional and anyone can participate, whether you received the voxbox or not.

Now, I didn't hit the free product jackpot and it wasn't always easy. After receiving my first voxbox, I had a few months where I didn't get invited into any campaigns, despite staying active with reviews. I also received invitations for virtual campaigns that didn't make sense for me. Virtual campaigns are activities where you are not sent products. Sometimes they ask you to buy a product and complete activities, or they just ask that you go to a store and complete a few activities. Getting selected for voxbox campaigns depends on several factors, including how active you are on the app or website and where you live. Many people get invited to participate in numerous campaigns and are sent multiple voxboxes. Likewise, some people are active, but are not selected for a variety of reasons.

Is it worth it?

I think so. I enjoy writing reviews and sharing my favorite products on social media. It's something I've been doing long before I joined Influenster. I also think the app is handy. I love using it when I'm shopping. You can scan a product through the app and it gives you all of the reviews. It's saved me from a few potentially bad purchases.

I definitely recommend joining Influenster. But, be prepared to put a little work into it - writing reviews, asking and answering questions about products, uploading pictures of products you've used, etc. Also understand that some patience is required. You might join and be instantly invited into a campaign. Or, you it might be a few months before you're matched with products that fit in your demographic. The biggest thing is to be consistent and have fun.

BzzAgent

BzzAgent is a great website to join if you love spreading the word about products that you've tried to your family and friends. All you have to do is connect your social media accounts, answer the surveys that pop up, and then sit back and wait. BzzAgent pairs you up with products that align with your interests. You always have the option of whether or not you want to participate. If you decide you want to, they send you the product, you try it out, and then share your honest opinion about your experience. You can post your thoughts on your social media accounts, share them in person with your friends and family, and/or write on your blog: However you choose!

I joined BzzAgent a year ago and I've been invited to participate in a few campaigns. It was a lot of fun and I was able to test a variety of products. My favorite was Sensodyne toothpaste. Since getting my wisdom teeth pulled last year, I've dealt with teeth sensitivity, so this product was perfect for me test!

I recommend BzzAgent to everyone. It's easy to qualify for campaigns and isn't time consuming. It's an enjoyable experience and you can test out products that you actually want to buy and use.

My very first campaign. I was invited to test out Venus razors and Satin Care Sensitive Skin shave cream. I was sent these complimentary items for testing purposes.

Smiley360

Smiley360 is another great website to join if you love sharing your thoughts and opinions about products with your friends and family. All you have to do is connect your social media accounts, complete mission surveys, and they will pair you up with products that are right for you. If you decide to participate in a campaign, they send you a product to try and then you share your experience with your friends and family on social media, in person, on your blog or website, and on Pinterest. You'll also be invited to write reviews in their community as well as on retail websites. It's simple and easy!

I've also been a Smiley360 member for a year and I've had the opportunity to test out a variety of products. There were a few I opted out of because they weren't right for me. For example, I was invited to test out Nexium, but I wasn't interested in taking part. I simply opted out and waited for another opportunity. My favorite product campaign from Smiley360 was Red Bull - Seize the Summer. I was sent a full size complimentary can of Red Bull Summer Edition Grapefruit, an insulated cooler, a hand towel, and a small bottle of sunscreen.

Smiley360 is great for everyone. It's not time-consuming and you have the opportunity to test out practical products that fit your lifestyle.

My son was excited that he had the opportunity to test Lil' Critters Gummy Vitamins. Smiley360 sent us this complimentary bottle.
