What is GCash?

GCash app is one of the biggest virtual wallet apps in the Philippines developed by Globe Telecom Inc. It lets users shop online, buy load, pay bills, borrow or send money, pay QR, save money and more. It can also be used to pay loans from other lending apps and companies including Cashalo.

How to Pay Your Cashalo Loan Online Using the GCash App

Cashalo is an app made as a financial services marketplace. It allows users to borrow and lend online using their mobile phones, provides different cash loans and also has booths in different shopping stores in the Philippines to let you purchase items in monthly installments with added interest. You can pay Cashalo loans through the Cashalo app and in various establishments like 7-Eleven and Bayad Centers. Most conveniently, you can also pay your Cashalo loans using other mobile apps including GCash!

Want to know how to pay your Cashalo loan using the GCash app? Follow these five easy steps.

Step 1

After successfully signing in using your MPIN, check your remaining balance to make sure it's enough for your loan payment. Be reminded that GCash is charging 15 pesos as a convenience fee. Then, select 'Pay Bills' from the app's services menu.

Step 2

Under Biller Categories, tap the 'Loans' icon right next to 'Credit Cards' and below 'Cable/Internet.'

Step 3

Scroll through the list of loan billers until you reach 'Cashalo' listed below 'Benlify' and above 'CBS Loans.' You can also tap the heart icon next to it to find it easier next time.

Step 4

Fill up the form with the needed information: Cashalo Loan ID, the mobile number connected to your Cashalo account, the amount you have to pay, and the email address you want to receive the payment confirmation to. After checking that you've provided the correct information, proceed to tap 'Next.'

Step 5

On the confirmation page, double-check the information you've provided before finally tapping 'Confirm' to finalize the transaction. After successfully confirming your payment, you will automatically receive your confirmation receipt on your screen. It contains the name of the biller, the total amount deducted to your GCash balance, the amount paid, 15 pesos fee, account/mobile number, and your email address. You can save this by tapping the download button on the upper right side of the screen.
