Research the statute of limitations for your State, because if this account is past the statute of limitations, Cavalry cannot pursue it. My guess is that they came in just before the limitations expired because these guys are good about getting in just under the wire.
This is a complicated one, because, if they came in after the statute of limitations expired, you can dispute their entry with the credit reporting agencies. If they were within the limitations, their entry seems to be a new one and separate from Bank of America. However, I can't imagine Cavalry posting this as when they started pursuing you, 2013, so from where I read this, it seems as if Cavalry has entered a wrong date. The true date should be when your account was charged off by the original creditor, which may just be the 2013 date. To answer your question correctly would require knowing more than I have available, but my assumption is that Cavalry is going by the charge off date. Just a guess.
