I'm in Rhode Island. I haven't been sued yet, but I got a letter from an attorney representing Midland. I sent a letter requesting verification, and they sent me about four invoices and various bills of sale, none of which have my account number or name on them. I replied stating that I do not accept this as verification, as I do not have anything with my signature, and no original contract was sent. I also pointed out that the bills of sale do not identify me. Was that OK?

Answer
