Paid-to-click (PTC) websites are not something that I recommend in general, though it cannot be denied that you can earn money through them. If you are looking for a way to generate some extra cash, you are free to join a PTC website, but I would never join a PTC website due to my previous experience with a PTC site.

At least, research any PTC site before joining it. There are a lot of PTC websites that don't pay, and they may even vanish without any notice. There are a lot of scam websites out there, so you need to be very careful.

The good news is that you are not asked to spend money to join a paid-to-click site. Nevertheless, I don't want you to lose your valuable time, so that is why I am writing this guide.

Note: These websites are not arranged in any particular order. If a website is number 1 on this list that doesn't mean it's the best.

Here are some of the best paid-to-click websites, but I don't recommend that you join any of them.

1. Neobux

After ClickSense decided to discontinue advertisements, Neobux became the most well-known PTC website. Earlier, there was tough competition between Neobux and ClickSense, but now only Neobux is left. ClickSense has decided to focus on other ways of earning money like surveys.

The pay depends on your membership type and the duration of the ad that you view. You can also earn from your direct and rented referrals. The direct referrals are those referrals that join through your referral link, and you can earn from them as long as they stay active. Rented referrals are a different story because these are the referrals that you rent from the website.

The referrals that join the website directly are rented by the website to the people who are looking for referrals. So to earn a profit from rented referrals, you need to make sure that you are earning more than you are paying for a referral. You have to pay $0.200 for a referral if you rent three referrals for 30 days. So to earn a profit, you must earn more than that. And you can, if the referral stays active.

2. Scarlet Clicks

Scarlet Clicks is a lot like Neobux in the sense that they also allow you to have rented referrals. They have existed since the year 2009, and most of the reviews on the internet indicate that they are paying their members. The pay is $0.0002-$0.001, which is a really low amount. I know that the website says that you can earn up to $0.01 per click, but that is not what you will earn when you join.

Obviously, you cannot expect to make a fortune by clicking ads. You will have to wait for almost two months to earn a single dollar before you can think about buying referrals. The referrals don't come with a guarantee and if they don't click enough times, you will suffer a loss.

You can withdraw your earnings through Payza or Perfect Money. They also impose a withdrawal limit, which is not something that I noticed in any other PTC site. I don't know why they would place a withdrawal limit because it is your money, and you should be able to withdraw it whenever you want.

3. GPT Planet

GPT Planet and Scarlet Clicks are owned by the same person, Dimitrios Kornelatos (Kordim) from Greece. GPT planet came online in the year 2010, which is about a year later than Scarlet Clicks.

You can earn by renting referrals and direct referrals as well. Obviously, they pay for viewing ads, but the pay is very bad. There are other ways of earning money like the GPT Grid, where you can win $1 by clicking on a square and viewing an ad. The chances of winning are not good so keep that in mind.

You can withdraw your money through Payza, Perfect Money, Payeer or Bitcoin. It doesn't look like that there is a minimum withdrawal limit here like Scarlet Clicks.

4. YouGetProfit

YouGetProfit is one of the better-known PTC websites. It has been running since the year 2013 so this website is surely legit. In addition to earning from ads, you can also earn through offers, surveys, referrals and tasks. There are some offers that don't pay, so you need to be careful.

There is one more way of earning money through this website and that is through buying advertising packs. You will not only get traffic if you buy advertising packs, but you will also get dividends from the revenue sharing program. In simple words, you can get a share in the profit of the website from all of its activities.

The website doesn't guarantee that you will earn more than you spent on buying advertising packs, and I doubt that you will earn a profit in most cases. You can get paid through Payza and Perfect Money.

5. Wad.Ojooo

Wad.Ojooo is a trusted PTC website that came online in 2013 and is backed up by a company. Their website at least looks better than the other PTC websites listed here. They also have the option to get paid through PayPal, which is surprising because PayPal has taken action against many PTC websites.

The pay is obviously low and it will depend on the advertisement that you choose to view. Rented and direct referrals are also there to help you in earning more. The average of the rented referrals is not so bad when compared to similar websites. The main problem with this website is that the earnings are too low, like other PTC websites.

6. AyuWage

AyuWage has been online since 2009 and they pay you for all the usual stuff that other PTC websites pay for. They even have PayPal as a payment option so that does help my confidence in them, though my confidence is not too high because I dislike PTC sites in general.

There are surveys, ads, simple tasks and obviously referrals for earning money. You can rent referrals, but most times you will not earn a profit by renting referrals.

The website is far from perfect because they have many issues. There have been instances where members were forced to click for earning credits. This is click fraud, and it is not something ethical.

Payment delays have been reported by many users. They have a warning system: once you receive three warnings, you will lose your account and your earnings. The support system is also not up to the mark.

My Recommendation

I wouldn't recommend joining any paid-to-click website on this list. Even if they pay, paid-to-click websites are just too much work for too little money. There are PTC websites that vanish overnight, and all of the users lose their money. I think that the websites listed on this blog post are legit but that is not a good reason to recommend them.

You can try more lucrative ways of earning money like freelance writing.

Some people think that PTC websites use bots to trick people who rent referrals. So when people rent a referral, they actually rent a bot instead of a referral. The bot clicks every now and then, but the click rate is not enough to help you in earning a profit. So you lose the money and never make a profit by renting referrals.

I have no solid proof that PTC websites are using bots, but my experience with Neobux was certainly consistent with this allegation. The other problems are payment delays and account bans. If you still want to join a PTC website, then you can join the ones that I have listed above.

Hi -- good article, well-written. But I'm a little confused how your title, "The Best" PTC sites, connects to your recommendation not to join any of them!

      Overall, great article.
