100 Cute Gift Shop Names

We all know that one person who just loves to give gifts for all occasions, or even “just because,” never expecting a thing in return. They get off on the sheer joy a simple gesture can cause in another!

It’s no secret that gift giving makes people smile and can make the most horrible day okay. If you are one of the people who loves to give gifts, then how about going into the business of gift giving?

Share the joyful feeling with the world around you while earning an income! Turn your knack for generosity into a business that will produce generous amounts of money for you!

Opening a Gift Shop

Before you can start any kind of business, you need to either have a hefty savings account (ideal) or seek out a business loan. It costs lots of money to get started! From securing a location to stocking your store, you need funds from somewhere or someone. If you don’t have a savings large enough to start out, consult your bank to explore a few options, and don’t be afraid to shop around for the best interest rates for a loan!

Also, another big requirement is that you have the state, county and/or city’s permission to go into business. You will need to register your business with the state and on a local level, depending on requirements. Not only with this make your business name official, but it is the legal way to go about things, ensuring you’ll be paying your taxes.

Finally, you’ll want to pick a busy location with lots of road and foot traffic. Gift shops tend to thrive well in downtown areas, especially when those downtown areas often have festivals going on! Shopping malls or busy strip malls are also a great place to look. Once you have a location, it’s time to start thinking about gift shop names, if you haven’t already!

Gift Shop Name Ideas

Gift shops are well under shopped, in my opinion, and it really does take a good name to draw people in (and one heck of a window display)! Not only should your name say that you’re a gift shop, but it should indicate what kind of gifts you carry if it’s anything specific.

Hi, I'm looking for a name I can use for my soap store. I thought I was onto a winner with - The Soap Store...or The Soapary. A play on 'bakery'. With those already in use, I thought maybe I could use the names of my grand children...or maybe involve my dog as I love to call her - Dirty Dog. But that's gone as well.

Any suggestions...?

Regards - Maureen
